The Gasconade County R-II School District consists of 354 square miles that encompass part of four counties: Gasconade, Franklin, Crawford, and Osage. The District operates two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school to educate over 1800 students. The District continues to perform above the state average on Annual Performance Reports. A wide array of programs and services are offered to ensure every student has the ability to explore and fulfill his/her full potential in an environment of high expectations and personal support. The District is a leader within the state in integrating technology in the classroom and provides multiple learning opportunities

Facilities
As a result of tremendous financial support from R-II District patrons, the R-II students attend school in excellent facilities. In 2005, support was shown when District patrons approved a 14 million dollar bond referendum for the purpose of building a new elementary school, transportation/maintenance/warehouse and renovations, including air conditioning to the other district attendance centers. 275 employees serve the R-II students. 154 of those employees are directly involved with instructional programs as teachers, administrators, coordinators and specialists. A support staff of secretaries, instructional/clerical aides, food service workers, bus drivers, maintenance/custodial workers and nurses, make up the other 121. R-II teachers’ salaries are competitive with schools of comparable size. The on-going professional development helps to strive for excellence. Average district wide pupil/teacher ratio for regular classroom teachers is 18-1.
Students
The Gasconade County R-II School District offers a comprehensive educational program. The high school offers 129 units of credit which meet the individual needs and interests of our students. High School students consistently score near the State and above national average on the ACT. In addition, the district offers 24 student activities: baseball, softball, basketball, football, golf, track, and volleyball, cross country, wrestling, band, speech, debate, drama, FFA, FBLA, and FCCLA.
